78 RPM DVD Blues was written for the blues project of Marcel Worms. It magnifies some well-known blues trademarks by confronting and combining them with various ways of writing for piano that emerged during the 20th century. The piece immediately starts off by taking a very typical blues lick and transforming it into something far more stubborn than it probably might has ever been. Further points of interest are some sticky outlines of a slow blues, a boogie woogie crossed with Xenakis, and an innocent and lonesomely vanishing little blues in two scant lines.
