An audience is situated in the middle of a space and eight singers move around it. This is what happens in Movements. During this ritual of 126 successive events the singers move with different speeds and create an interesting and constantly changing continuum of sounds as well as a real surround sound experience for the audience. At some points further on in the piece fixed locations in the space are being connected to certain pitches or vowels. Mostly the singers themselves are moving through the space in order to change the locations of sounds, but sometimes it's even just the sounds that they produce that form patterns around the audience while they stand still.
